SUBMISSION


CALL FOR ENTRIES

For year one, we are accepting work that was filmed in Delaware, casts Delaware as subject, or was created by an artist living or working in the state of Delaware. Notable film and video practitioners and community members from the region will jury submissions by category for awards.

Seeking all genres—animations, documentaries, music videos, narratives, and abstract or experiential works. Works that are experimental in nature are encouraged. Length for all videos should be under 10 minutes.

New! UGC goes to Theatre N at Nemours!
Increasing exposure to YOUR work, submissions to UGC's one-night screening will also be considered for inclusion in a program of shorts featured during Art on The Town at Theatre N this season.

GUIDELINES:

  1. Delaware must be in the film or home to the filmmaker (subject, location, and/or made by someone living or working in Delaware).
  2. Videos that respond to ideas and issues around sustainable urban living and urban space are encouraged but by no means required.
  3. Films / videos must have been completed within the past two years (2010-2012).
  4. Submission must be under 10 minutes. Submissions under 4 minutes will be judged under the shorty-shorts category.
  5. All forms and formats used for creation are acceptable. However, only digital data files will be screened. Read FAQ.
  6. Work must be submitted online for the jury selection process. Read FAQ.
  7. If selected, the artist will be contacted and must provide a digital data file via Pando (2GB limit). Read FAQ further for technical specifications.
  8. Urban Garden Cinema is not liable for any copyright material unlawfully used. (Filmmakers are responsible for knowing and following applicable copyright laws concerning use of other people's work including music and images.)
